Nissan Sponsors ¡LatinFest! In Mississippi

¡LatinFest! In Mississippi Nissan is committed to cultural diversity, which is why they helped throw ¡LatinFest! in Mississippi this year.

¡LatinFest! is an annual celebration that honors the local Hispanic community as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. This year, it was hosted on October 15th by the Latin American Business Association. This festival isn’t just for some, it’s for all! Everyone from businesses to public officials come together to celebrate Latino culture.

In its fifth year, Latinfest! had tons of activities to take part in. There were five bands, dancing, and plenty of cultural food.

“¡LatinFest! reflects several of Nissan’s core values, from the power of curiosity and education to the need to understand and respect diverse perspectives,” said Jeffrey Webster, Nissan’s director of Diversity and Inclusion.

Nissan didn’t only sponsor ¡LatinFest! specifically. They took part in Hispanic Heritage Month by releasing a video series, “Hispanics Who Dominate.” This series  told the story of Hispanic heroes who have overcome challenges they’ve faced in their local or global Hispanic community.

Nissan also sponsors the Mexican National Team, who played in the Nissan Stadium in Nashville against New Zealand. At this game, there was an interactive fan zone courtesy of Nissan, where fans could check out Nissan cars and trucks.

Nissan Says Many of Models Contain SPF 500 Protection

Sun SPF 500 - Hudiburg Nissan

Most people know that they need sunscreen to protect them from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays when you are enjoying a long day at the beach or the park, but did you know that you are still exposed to the sun when you are driving?

Luckily, many automakers produce vehicles with windshields that offer a degree of UV protection, but Nissan is raising the bar. According to Nissan, most of their vehicles offer UV protection for up to SPF 500 – a level that would surely protect an overwhelming majority of drivers.

This is excellent news, as not only does sun exposure cause painful burns in the short-term, but also, it can lead to early skin aging – and worse – skin cancer. Thankfully, behind the wheel of a Nissan, you are more than reasonably covered.
