Right before winter starts is the perfect time to get some new windshield wipers—we need wipers that can easily brush off heavy snow, and they need to be replaced every six months or so anyway. Follow these easy directions for how to replace windshield wipers and you’ll be done in minutes!
Before you start, measure your wiper blades so you know which size to buy. Measure both—they might not be the same size!
First, take off the old wiper. Lift it up so it’s perpendicular to the windshield and press down on the tab located at the joint of the blade and the wiper arm, then slide the blade out of the arm.
The next step is inserting the new blade into the arm. Push it in so it’s in the same position the old blade was and slowly turn it until it clicks into place. Gently lay it back down in the correct position and do the same with the other blade.
And you’re done! You can now use your wipers without fear of streaks. Drive safe!
