ChargingElectrical vehicles are becoming more popular every year. However, it can sometimes be difficult to find charging stations for those vehicles. That’s where Nissan and BMW are stepping in to help.

Nissan JUKE Stinger Editions Offer Unique Color Options

Nissan JUKEThe two Nissan JUKE Stinger Editions announced last month will hit showrooms in January of 2016. The two models, the JUKE Black Stinger Edition and the JUKE Yellow Stinger Edition, will both feature a special yellow interior courtesy of Color Studio.

Color Studio is a Nissan program offering specially colored parts and accessories for the Nissan JUKE. It has been so successful over the last several years that Nissan is now expanding it to the Versa Note line.

The JUKE Stinger editions will be offered as optional packages for the JUKE SV trim level and will come with a number of accessories in addition to the standard SV features and the yellow interior. The Stinger Editions will feature a yellow center console, steering wheel stitching, shift knob accent, and black seats with yellow stitching, among others.

Nissan VP of Product Planning Pierre Loing says he expects the Stinger Editions to sell quickly, given that black and yellow are two of the most popular Color Studio colors and the black/yellow accents are an eye-catching combo for drivers who like a unique vehicle that stands out, like the JUKE.

How to Replace Windshield Wipers

Windshield WipersRight before winter starts is the perfect time to get some new windshield wipers—we need wipers that can easily brush off heavy snow, and they need to be replaced every six months or so anyway. Follow these easy directions for how to replace windshield wipers and you’ll be done in minutes!

Before you start, measure your wiper blades so you know which size to buy. Measure both—they might not be the same size!

First, take off the old wiper. Lift it up so it’s perpendicular to the windshield and press down on the tab located at the joint of the blade and the wiper arm, then slide the blade out of the arm.

The next step is inserting the new blade into the arm. Push it in so it’s in the same position the old blade was and slowly turn it until it clicks into place. Gently lay it back down in the correct position and do the same with the other blade.

And you’re done! You can now use your wipers without fear of streaks. Drive safe!

Cummins and Nissan’s TITAN XD Triple Nickel Aims at Class Land Speed Records

NissanWe here at Hudiburg Nissan can go on at length about the awesomeness of the 2016 Nissan TITAN XD and the power of its Cummins® 5.0-liter V8 Turbo Diesel and how it’s all quite useful for your day-to-day needs. Nissan and Cummins, however, wanted to know if the truck could hold up as a land speed record racer, leading to the creation of the 2016 TITAN XD Triple Nickel, which was revealed earlier this month at the 2015 SEMA Show.

“Cummins and Nissan have had an innovative partnership for more than five years, with excellent results, including the award winning powertrain for the all-new 2016 TITAN XD truck,” Jeff Caldwell, general manager of Global Pickup & Van Business, Cummins, told Nissan’s press site.  “Our working teams have been discussing a land-speed record racing project for some time now, and we are thrilled to debut this truck at the 2015 SEMA Show. Our founder, Clessie Cummins, would be proud of the volunteers willing to spend the time pushing his diesel to its limits.”

Truly, the TITAN XD Triple Nickel is a looker with lowered suspension and a sharp black/white Cummins livery, but it’s more about function than form. The Triple Nickel is fitted with everything from a Stroud Safety parachute to Mickey Thompson tires, and it will eventually be fitted with a roll cage and other safety equipment necessary for it to vie for class speed records.

The 2016 Nissan TITAN SD Triple Nickel will compete in the D/DT class and FIA class A-III-9, in which the current class speed records are 191 mph and 115 mph, respectively. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project.

Own a 2002 Nissan 350Z from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Nissan The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift isn’t the most memorable entry in the increasingly over-the-top Fast and Furious film franchise, but it does have one unforgettable scene: a parking garage race between high school student Sean Boswell (actor Lucas Black) and “Drift King” Takashi (Brian Tee). While the inexperienced Boswell gets his car pretty banged-up, Takashi impresses by expertly drifting his 2002 Nissan 350Z around the garage and up a ramp:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3MAmVpAbEo

Now, that very same 2002 Nissan 350Z is for sale… for just a little over $234,000.

The only high tune Nissan 350Z made by Veilside for the movie, this custom car comes with an APS twin turbocharged engine that yields 430 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. All that power is handled by a Nismo twin plate clutch and a Nismo two way differential.

Despite being over a decade old, the vehicle only has 9,800 miles on it, meaning it still has plenty of drifting left to do.

However, if you’re in the market for a Nissan that’s not used (and not nearly as expensive), check out the lineup of new models we have here at Hudiburg Nissan today!

2015 Nissan Murano Review

2015 Nissan Murano OKC

Nissan is best known for delivering two traits across its vehicle lineup: quality and reliability. But it may soon become synonymous with two other equally important distinctions: comfort and class. Generally, these monikers are reserved for more costly luxury vehicles. However, with the latest iteration of the Nissan Murano, a mid-size crossover SUV that offers a fusion of space and efficiency to consumers that want it all, Nissan may be on the road to an altogether different class of automobile manufacturing. While the Murano can’t possibly hope to offer everything for everyone, it certainly comes close thanks to thoughtful styling, exceptional utility, superior handling, and a laundry list of standard tech and available extras, all for a very reasonable price.

The thing you need to know about the Murano going in is that it’s not a particularly sporty vehicle, and it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. Mid-size crossovers have become a popular choice for families for a few reasons. They’re more accommodating than sedans in terms of size, and they tend to handle better than the soccer-mom standby minivan. Also, they look a lot cooler. The Murano is no slouch when it comes to both performance and looks, but it’s not a sports car and it never will be.

Instead, what drivers get is a truly pleasant driving experience. Whereas minivans can be frustratingly sedate and sedans can be cramped for the average family, the Murano offers comfort and convenience, thanks to abundant head and leg room, a spacious rear cargo area, and minimal road noise. When paired with a continuously variable transmission and a 3.5L V6, drivers can expect a ride that is comparable to a luxury sedan, but a lot less stodgy. From kindergarten carpools to long-haul road trips, this car outclasses many of its competitors in terms of pure ease of driving.

But there’s more to love about this crossover model. Driver conveniences include thoughtful details like large side mirrors, a user-friendly touchscreen nav, a surround view camera, and an improved interface for voice commands. And the styling is likely to appeal to many buyers looking for something other than a cookie-cutter SUV. With a sloping hood that fades almost seamlessly into the windshield, sweeping side panels, prominent wheel wells, and a mild, graceful curve from front to rear, the Nissan Murano is like the automotive version of a high-end running shoe. And the warm, rustic tones that dominate both interior and exterior options are unusual, yet inviting.

The interior styling is also sleek and cohesive. Whereas many car manufacturers these days seem intent on turning their car interiors into something straight from the set of a sci-fi space drama, Nissan has adopted an altogether more simple and classic design that will make car buyers feel right at home in the Murano, and far less intimidated by the console. All in all, the Nissan Murano is something that most car buyers don’t actually know they’re looking for – a vehicle that blends comfort, class, quality, and reliability into a single, Zen-like, driving experience. And with a starting price just shy of $30,000 (anticipate slightly over $40K with all the bells and whistles), the Murano seriously trumps its closest competitors and even goes head-to-head with costlier luxury brands.
